What is the Army Cadet Force?

The Army Cadet Force is Britain’s oldest youth organisation. It will be 150 years old next year in 2009. It is Not part of the Army Nor does it recruit for them, but there are more than 40,000 Cadets nationwide, and over 8,000 Leaders, in more than 1,700 Detachments. It's all about young people having fun in a physically and mentally challenging environment.

This website is reference point to maintain our presence on the web whilst we redesign a more comprehensive site.

There are details of the detachments:- where they are and when they parade. There are photographs of what our cadets have done over the last 12 months. More pages are coming on line as we develop this site and work on the next.
