What is the Army Cadet Force?

The Army Cadet Force is Britain's oldest and best (our opinion) youth organisation. It will be 150 years old next year in 2010. It is Not part of the Army Nor does it recruit for them, but there are more than 40,000 Cadets nationwide, and over 8,000 Leaders, in more than 1,700 Detachments. It's all about young people having fun in a physically and mentally challenging environment.

Our motto is:

"Inspire to Achieve"

WELCOME TO NORTHUMBRIA ACF's COUNTY WEBSITE.

Happy New Year to all who visit this site. 2010 is going to be an exciting year as we celebrate Cadet150. In 2010 the Army Cadet Force is 150 years old and we will be celebrating locally over the weekend 12th and 13th June at the monument in Newcastle.

The site will tell you what is going on locally. Look around to see what is happening and what has happened. The pages on the National Army Cadet Force Site will give you County and Detachment information such as "who is who" and the locations of our Detachments. Please use the blue tabs at the top of the page to visit them, or click on the link below.
