In 2010 the Army Cadet Force celebrates its 150th birthday with a year of celebrations, with events happening all around the Country. In Northumbria weshall be at the Monument in Newcastle over the weekend to 12/13 of June

The Aim of Cadet150 is to establish MOD's Cadet Forces as leading providers of voluntary, extra-curricular educational activity for teenagers in order to:
* Bolster the reputation of cadet forces and by extension, that of the Armed Forces and Defence
* Achieve a better understanding of benefits of cadets throughout UK society
* Obtain support from all parts and tiers of Government
* Create external funding opportunities
* Stimulate improved adult and cadet recruiting climate and mount recruiting surges
* Provide a platform for any expansion
