HQLF CLC course dates 2010

The Easter 2010 Cadet Leadership Course (CLC 10) will be run on behalf of HQLF by HQ 143 (WM) Bde at Nesscliff Training Area, Shropshire and will comprise of 2 identical week-long elements:

Course 1/10. Assemble pm Sat 27 Mar 10 and disperse am Fri 2 Apr 10.

Course 2/10. Assemble pm Sat 3 Apr 10 and disperse am Fri 9 Apr 10.

Deadlines for applications for either of the two courses to be received from County HQ is 29th January 2010, so if you want to bid for a placeget in touch with your DC and Company Commander now and ensure you place on one of the best cadet courses available.

15 Bde has a total of 12 places on each course and it's open to all cadet forces, (sea, army, air and combined) so get started now!!!!

The programme will be intensive and will include:

* PT, including use of a confidence course.

* Weapon training including blank firing with the Cadet GP rifle. (Weapon training and handling test will be conducted for everyone at the start of the course.)

* Map reading, orienteering and patrolling.

* Section tactics.

* Signals training on infantry radios.

* Living in the field on exercise.

* Command, communication, planning and leadership tasks.

Successful completion of the course will count towards BTEC/NVQ and the DofE Award.
