The Alps, here we come !!

Another string in the bow of the Army cadets is to take small groups of young people, our cadets, on trips that they would not normally take part in. This March, 2Lt Gordon Watson is planning to take 5 of his cadets and 3 cadets from other detachments to the Alps to go skiing.

But it will not be ordinary downhill skiing. The cadets will take part in a number of activities on skis including a navigation exercise and some cross country skiing.

The cadets have to make a contribution to the trip, which takes place from the 13th to the 20th of March, and will be under the instruction of Major John Daniels who is a qualified ski instructor.
